OK, so roomates have been making fun of me for years because I often come home from the bars late and immediately make myself stuff like toast topped with peanut butter, kraut and siracha hot sauce. Once my roomate conned me into trying ketchup covered oreos (don't ever do that).

This doesn't really fall under baking, but my all time fave is probably toast with almond butter and hummus.

I'm also a huge fan of raspberry sorbet with balsamic vinegar drizzled on top.

What are some of your favorite weird food combinations?

Yes, there's something about savory and creamy that just makes that work! I started putting homemade greek yogurt in my hot dog rolls which is similar. Glad to know I'm not the only one!

A few years ago someone talked me into putting cream cheese on my hot dog. It sounded weird, but was delicious! Now I always spread some tofutti vegan cream cheese on my hot dog rolls (by the way, the best vegan hot dogs that I've tried are the Field Roast brand Frankfurters).

But have you had oreo cookies dipped in peanut butter? It's crazy because you can't stop eating it once you start!

I'm a huge fan of drinking red wine with a piece of chocolate in my mouth but that doesn't fall into the vegan baking category I'm afraid.

I would have to say chocolate and coconut. It's pretty much the best thing ever when shredded coconut is in a perfectly made brownie. I'm also a huge fan of rootbeer floats. Sometimes I crumble those Mother's chocolate chip cookies in there if I'm feeling crazy.

Right now I'm getting ready to embark on the search for the perfect soy ice cream/rootbeer combo for rootbeer floats. Anyone have any recommendations?

Okay I'm going to spill here. Those days when I have those huge junk food cravings I wait until I'm sure no one else in the house will see and I dunk a pickle in the peanut butter jar. The creamy nuttiness mixed with the vinegar dill is quite simply the perfect combo.

I find it kinda funny that everyone seems to mix peanut butter with something equally rich and delicious.
